Trafford is a borough of contrasts. The A56 runs through Stretford, Sale and Altrincham with bus lanes, traffic lights and busy junctions, Trafford Park brings lorries and industrial traffic, and the roads around the Trafford Centre are some of the busiest in the region at weekends. Then there are the quiet, leafy streets of Timperley, Hale and Urmston, perfect for your first lessons and manoeuvres.

#Your test in Trafford

Trafford has its own practical driving test centre at Sale, and West Didsbury in Manchester is close by. Tests here can mix suburban roads with busier main roads, so you need to be comfortable with both.

In your last lessons, your instructor runs a mock test around your test centre, from the eyesight check to the debrief. We don't teach a route, though: DVSA doesn't publish them, and they change.
