How do I book a lesson?
Tell us your pickup postcode and whether you're learning in a manual or an automatic, then pick a day and time. Confirm your email with a code, pay if the lesson is paid upfront, and you're booked. We confirm your instructor and remind you before your lesson. You can also buy a package of hours first and book lessons as you go.
Do I need a password?
No. When you sign in we send you a code by email or text. You can also add a passkey, so next time you sign in with your fingerprint, face or screen lock.
How much do lessons cost?
You see the price of every lesson before you book it. Buying a package of hours costs less per hour than paying lesson by lesson.
When do I pay?
It depends on how the school takes payment. You may pay when you book, pay a deposit, or pay when your instructor is confirmed. The app always tells you what's due and when.
Can I choose my instructor?
We find an instructor who covers your pickup and teaches your type of car. When you book again, you can ask for the instructor from your last lesson, and they get the first chance to take it.
Where can I be picked up?
From home, school, college or work: anywhere in an area we cover. Enter your postcode when you book to see the times instructors near you can teach.
How long are lessons?
You choose the length when you book, within the lengths the school offers. Longer lessons give you more time to practise.
What if I need to cancel?
Cancel in the app. If you cancel before the notice period shown in the app, you get your money or lesson credit back. Our cancellations and refunds policy has the details.
What if my instructor can't make it?
We'll find another instructor if we can. If we can't, we cancel the lesson and give you everything back.
Do you teach in automatic cars?
Yes. Choose automatic when you set up your account, and you'll be booked with an instructor who teaches in an automatic car.
Do I need a provisional licence before my first lesson?
Yes. You need your provisional driving licence, and your instructor will check it before you drive.
Can you help me book my driving test?
Your instructor will tell you when you're ready and help you choose a test centre. You book the test yourself on GOV.UK.
Can I use my instructor's car for my test?
Usually, yes. Ask your instructor, and book a lesson just before your test to warm up.
How do I see my progress?
After every lesson your instructor records how you did on each skill. You can see your progress and what to work on next in the app.
How do you use my personal information?
Only to run your lessons and your account, and as our privacy notice explains. We never sell your data.
