Our instructors teach across the Bolton borough, including Bolton town centre, Farnworth, Horwich, Westhoughton, Kearsley, Little Lever and Blackrod, in manual and automatic cars.
Driving in Bolton
Bolton's town centre is busy, with plenty of junctions, traffic lights and roundabouts to master, and the M61 runs along the edge of the borough. Towards Horwich and the West Pennine Moors the roads climb, which means hill starts and country bends, while Farnworth, Westhoughton and Little Lever have quieter residential streets for early lessons.
Your test in Bolton
Bolton has its own practical driving test centre, and Bury and Atherton are close by too.
Your instructor runs a mock test on the roads around your test centre before the day, with the same format and marking as the real thing. What we never do is teach a route: DVSA doesn't publish them, and they change. You'll pass because you can drive anywhere, not because you memorised a few streets. Find a test centre on GOV.UK.
